The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Fouad Hussein, chaired a meeting of the National Committee concerned with granting electronic visas, and the meeting was attended by National Security Adviser Qassem Al-Araji, Director of the Prime Minister’s Office, Judge Raed Jouhi, and a number of representatives of the ministries and agencies concerned.
During the meeting, the technical and coordination mechanisms were discussed to activate the granting of electronic visas to a number of countries at Iraqi airports, after taking all the contexts in this regard, as this step reflects in terms of support for the tourism and investment sector in the country.
The meeting also discussed the technical and logistical mechanisms that would facilitate the work and define the regulations and procedures regulating it.
For his part, the Minister of Foreign Affairs presented the importance of forming a committee to follow up the outcome of the meeting, in order for a report to be prepared to be discussed at a later time before it is presented to the National Security Council.
