Baghdad - People
The President of the State of Law, Nouri al-Maliki, discussed social, economic and political challenges with officials of the support councils in Baghdad.
Al-Maliki stated in a blog followed by "People" (10 November 2020), that "the most prominent thing was mentioned in the meeting of the head of the State of Law coalition with officials of the support councils in Baghdad," is the following:
The legitimate demands of the demonstrators must be met
We face difficult challenges and the region is in danger due to the process of normalization with the Zionist entity
There are efforts to restore sectarianism, and awareness must be addressed and addressed.
Agriculture and housing initiatives have greatly contributed to reducing unemployment.
We were able to reduce the unemployment rate in spite of the force majeure circumstances that passed through Iraq.
We stand with young, unemployed graduates.
There are parties that took advantage of the demonstrations to distort their course and sabotage the country.
The phenomenon of sabotage in Iraq is a punishment for its people due to repeated demands for the removal of foreign forces.
During our tenure as prime minister, we were able to eliminate al-Qaeda and other terrorist organizations.
External parties do not want Iraq to be a strong country in the region.
We call for the opening of our relations with all countries except for the Zionist entity.
The breach of sovereignty may be by soft tools.
Foreign investment should not be at the expense of Iraq, especially since the agricultural area that Saudi Arabia wants to invest is very large.
We call for participation in the upcoming elections and to choose the fittest.
