Parliamentary statements revealed that the borrowing law includes the entitlements of other segments other than employees, while setting 12-14 trillion dinars as an allowable amount for borrowing within the law.

MP Burhan Al-Mamouri said in a press statement, "The money in the fiscal deficit financing law was exaggerated, and there was a reduction in the amount by the Ministry of Finance from 41 trillion to 31 trillion dinars, and this is also exaggerated by the government."

He added, “We have three months if we calculate it according to the data, that the government needs 6-7 trillion dinars in salaries and operating expenses, as for the financial revenues that enter the state treasury up to 4 trillion dinars per month, therefore we need 3 trillion dinars a month of borrowing, During the three months of the borrowing law, we need 9 months. This amount is sufficient to secure salaries and operating expenses.

Al-Mamouri added, "The House of Representatives obligated the Ministry of Finance, by addressing it, to put some demands on the borrowing law, including farmers' dues and lecturers in the Ministry of Education, contracts and wages in state ministries, including the Ministry of Electricity, as they are considered important segments and they have not taken their salaries for months."

Al-Mamouri stated that “after the meeting of the Parliamentary Finance Committee with Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi, the amount of the borrowing will range between 12-14 trillion dinars, this amount is sufficient to secure salaries and other operational expenses,” stressing that “Parliament will vote on the law on financing the fiscal deficit according to the realistic vision and the simple. Government vision. ”
