The ambassador indicated, "the depth of relations between the two countries, as they are more than seven decades old, as well as the Kingdom's role in combating terrorism within the international coalition, and confirmed the current efforts of the two countries to develop these relations in the economic field." .

While affirming that "Iraq is looking forward to Spain's support to remove it from the European Commission's list of high-risk countries," declaring that "Iraq has completed the international procedures and standards required to exit the list, including the legislation of Law No. 39 of 2015 related to combating money laundering and terrorist financing, as well as its exit from the list. The Financial Action Task Force (FATF) for countries that have deficiencies in combating money laundering and terrorist financing. "
