The Minister of Planning, accompanied by the Minister of Water Resources, visits the Haditha district to examine the water installations in the district

The Minister of Planning, Prof. Khaled Battal Al-Najm, accompanied by the Minister of Water Resources, Eng. Mahdi Rashid Al-Hamdani, inspected today, Thursday, Haditha district in Anbar Governorate.

The tour included a visit to the site for the rehabilitation of the Haditha Corniche, research on the dredging of the Euphrates River, as well as the rehabilitation of the banks of the Euphrates, which will coincide with the Tigris as well.

The two ministers also briefed the Haditha Dam, Dam Lake, Water Stream, generation turbines, and the maintenance operations needed to increase the production of electric power and the same quantities of water releases, which will be discussed with the Ministry of Electricity.

This visit comes as a continuation of last week's visits in central and southern Iraq, which will be followed by visits to all governorates of Iraq to prepare energy and sustainable food security strategies in line with the reform paper of the current government, whose contents will start to be implemented soon.
