Legal expert Tareq Harb confirmed, on Tuesday, that the new election law will topple many political blocs and leaders, as it prevents the transfer of votes from the head of the list to the rest of the candidates.

Harb said in an explanation published today (October 27, 2020) followed by Digital Media NRT, that the new election law will overthrow many blocs and overthrow the leaders of many of these blocs as long as the new law prevents the transfer of votes from the leaders of the blocs and the transfer of the votes of the blocs to the rest of the candidates as it was decided. This is the laws of the previous elections, and as happened in all elections, where many arrived in Parliament with the votes of the leader and the votes of the bloc, not with their votes that would not reach the parliament alone.

He added that this applies to many blocs such as the State of Law, Victory, Al-Hikma, Al-Najafi, Al-Salhi, Allawi and others, because of the lack of transfer of votes, and this will topple the blocs as long as the candidate will not benefit from the votes of the leader of his electoral bloc.

He explained that all Baghdad MPs are currently from the rule of law in its current session, for example, and arrived at Parliament not with their votes, but with the votes of Maliki and the votes of the State of Law bloc. Rather, he reserved a seat in Parliament based on the votes of the leader of his electoral bloc and the votes of his electoral bloc, and he benefited from the votes of the leader and the votes of the bloc.

And he continued: Therefore, if the candidate does not benefit from all these votes, as it used to happen previously, he will retire the leader of the electoral blocs as long as he will not benefit him, and he will retire as long as it will not benefit him even if one vote as it used to happen, therefore he will not care about the candidate who does not benefit from the leader And the benefit of the bloc, the leader of the bloc will not care about the bloc and will not join it as long as it did not help him, even with one voice, to enter parliament.
