The Iraqi delegation arrives in Khartoum by plane loaded with the first batch of medical materials
In implementation of the directive of the Prime Minister, Mr. Mustafa Al-Kazemi, regarding the opening of an air and sea bridge to deliver urgent humanitarian supplies, in solidarity with the brotherly Sudanese people in their ordeal due to the recent wave of floods.
The General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers has begun to oversee the implementation of the directive, and coordinate with the ministries of Defense, Foreign Affairs, Health, Trade, Transport, Immigration and the Displaced, to secure materials urgently.
Yesterday, Saturday, from Martyr Muhammad Alaa Air Base, the first meal included (12) tons of urgent medical materials, accompanied by an official delegation representing the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which conveyed the condolences of the Iraqi government and people to the families of the missing, and its wishes for a speedy recovery for the injured. .
The ministries will continue to provide the necessary effort to transport urgent humanitarian supplies, respectively, such as medical materials, food baskets and tents, and the Ministry of Trade has prepared quantities of wheat, which will be transported across the sea, in coordination with the Ministry of Transport.
The delegation was received at Khartoum International Airport by representatives of the Ministry of Health, the Sudanese Displaced Affairs Organization, the Chargé d'Affairs, the consul and staff of the Iraqi embassy in Khartoum.
The Sudanese side extended its thanks and gratitude to the government and people of Iraq for this humanitarian initiative.
