If you had ANY doubt, just know this is FANTASTIC news! When a bank balks at compliance, and most likely transparency in transactions, it bode's dire for the banks ethical practices. Is the bank corrupt? who knows. However, it says a lot in the fact they are exiting the country. #ByeFelicia  Iraq appears to be throwing out the trash.


The banks that have been earmarked for imminent closure are Fransabank, IBL, Credit Libanais and BLF, according to sources.

BEIRUT: A number of Lebanese banks operating in Iraq have decided to shut down their operations in the country due to increasing compliance demands and growing risks factors, a leading banker said Monday.

The banks that have been earmarked for imminent closure are Fransabank, IBL, Credit Libanais and BLF, according to sources.
