The Parliamentary Services and Reconstruction Committee headed by Deputy Dr. hosted. Walid Sahlani and the presence of the ladies and gentlemen of its members on Wednesday 2/9/2020, Minister of Construction, Housing and Public Municipalities, Nazin Muhammad Rasu.

During the hosting, which was attended by the heads of the Parliamentary Security and Defense and Agriculture and Marsh Committees, representatives from various governorates within the other parliamentary committees, and directors of roads and bridges, water, and sewage public at the Ministry of Construction and Housing and Public Municipalities discussed amending the Roads Law and investing in it, in addition to the ministry’s ongoing projects. And the delayed and futuristic, which the ladies and gentlemen of the representatives questioned about their regions, about which they represent the public in all the Iraqi provinces.

The hosting also discussed the necessity of releasing the necessary sums to implement the road map to solve the housing crisis in the country, which was exacerbated by the lack of financial allocations that prevented the completion of these projects, as the actual need is 2.5 million housing units, and the sectoral authorities guarantee the completion of the units with suitable areas and prices. Appropriate .

For her part, the Minister of Construction, Housing and Public Municipalities gave a detailed explanation of the obstacles that hinder the completion of the lagging projects in the governorates, while it was decided to continue the meetings and follow-up to speed up completion, and to develop the necessary and possible solutions to implement them in the sectors of water, sewage, roads and bridges, as well as housing projects.
