Al-Kaabi: The Minister of Water Resources and the Director of the Finance Department at the Ministry should assume their responsibility regarding cutting the allocations for the Ministry’s employees
Hassan Karim Al-Kaabi, First Deputy Speaker of Parliament, demanded today, Tuesday, 1 September 2020, the Minister of Water Resources and the Director General of the Ministry's Financial and Administrative Department to assume their responsibilities and to speed up reviewing the decision to cut financial allocations for employees of the bodies, companies, centers and departments of the Ministry.
Al-Kaabi stressed: It is unreasonable for a “individual” decision to be issued by the Minister of Water Resources or the Director of the Ministry’s Finance Department to cut employee allocations and grant them to those continuing the daily work “only”, in clear violation of the government decision to reduce official working hours by 25% it is binding on ministries and government institutions In addition to the fact that the Ministry of Water Resources’s decision is clearly arbitrary to use the right, and the discretionary authority is not employed in a positive and humane manner, pointing out that whether or not the issue of permanence is not from the employee’s will until the issue of granting allocations is dealt with according to exceptions.
He called on the Council of Ministers to issue a decision requiring not to deduct allocations from all ministries and departments in accordance with the laws in force and in compliance with government decisions during the current circumstance.
