Baghdad Governor Mohammed Jaber Al-Atta confirmed, on Saturday, that he addressed the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers regarding the financial allocations for teaching staff and lecturers.

Al-Atta said in a statement reported by the official news agency "Waaa" and viewed by "Al-Iqtisad News", that "a meeting was held with the Educational Opinion Authority consisting of 6 general managers representing the education directors in Baghdad, and a lot of matters related to their work were discussed in the current circumstances."

He added that "the meeting included talking about the final exams for the external and for the sixth preparatory grade, and emphasizing health controls, such as spacing, wearing masks, and cooperating with the electricity and health departments, to prepare the appropriate conditions for conducting the exams."

Al-Atta revealed that "an order was issued by the Prime Minister and Finance that it is not permissible to work as a free lecturer", stressing "to address the Secretariat of the Council of Ministers regarding the lack of provision of financial allocations for teaching staff and lecturers."
