The Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq in Madrid meets with the President of the Madrid Chamber of Commerce and the Vice-President of the Federation of Spanish Chambers of Commerce Mr. Angel Asensio E2D30CC8-329C-42CD-A813-82B0D719135A

The Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq met in Madrid, Dr. Adel Mostafa Kamel with the President of the Madrid Chamber of Commerce and the Vice-President of the Federation of Spanish Chambers of Commerce Mr. Angel Angel Asensio, the Deputy General Director of the Chamber Mrs. Elsa Salvadoris Khansen and member of the Board of Directors of the Chamber Mr. Pablo Perez; To discuss activating the means of joint cooperation between the relevant Spanish institutions and their Iraqi counterparts to serve bilateral economic relations.

The Ambassador commenced the meeting by referring to the depth of the Iraqi-Spanish bilateral relations, and praising Spain's role in helping Iraq to confront ISIS terrorist gangs within the international alliance, expressing its aspiration to give more momentum to the economic field, and to maintain dialogues between businessmen, companies and investors from both countries.

For his part, Mr. Inkhel affirmed the Spanish government's keenness to activate economic cooperation with Iraq.

The two sides have agreed to hold a virtual meeting between the Spanish businessmen and their Iraqi counterparts soon; In preparation for the establishment of the joint economic forum in 2021.
