On Friday 4/17/2020, Deputy Alia Nassif called on the caretaker government and the upcoming interim government to take a number of economic measures that will alleviate the financial crisis and minimize its repercussions on the citizen and ensure that no obstruction to the salaries of employees and retirees occurs.


Nassif emphasized that the most important measure that the government should take is to reduce or cancel privileges and petty cash holders of special grades, cancel or reduce delegations abroad, and reduce the budget of diplomatic missions, embassies and consulates.


Representative Nassif added that the mobile phone companies that burdened the citizens should reduce the fees for their services and at the same time increase the taxes collected from them.


Nassif went on: “The government in all its ministries and sectors should bear in mind that ensuring a decent living for the citizens throughout the crisis period is the primary goal of all the measures that will be taken later, noting that there is no room to take ill-conceived decisions that burden the citizen instead of helping him.”
