(Baghdad: Al Furat News) The Assistant for Commercial Development Affairs of the Organization of Trade, Industry and Minerals in Ilam Province, western Iran, announced the export of goods worth $ 1.183 billion through the Mehran border port in the fiscal year ending March 19, 2020.

Said Sharifi said through a statement today, Sunday, that 2 million tons of goods were exported through Ilam Governorate in the aforementioned year, with a quantitative growth of 34 percent on an annual basis.

On the most important export commodities, he drew attention to construction materials, plastic and industrial products, glass, household appliances, metals and fruits.

The Mehran crossing , which is offset by Zurbatiyah port Wasit province, is about 230 km from Baghdad, is the nearest Iranian border town to the capital and the holy shrines in Alarac.anthy
