Mnt Goat News Brief 4/7/20

Hi Everyone,

I bring you much news today.

In today’s newsletter there is some really good news. It may not be that the RV is happening tomorrow or even in a couple months, but it is news that tells us a glimmer of hope for the future. Everyone needs to remember Rome was not built in a day but it lasted 1,000 years.

Please take some time to read the articles in todays news. They are all telling us of this glimmer of hope. Finally, maybe they can get rid of the Iranian influence and move forward to rebuilding the country and their financial resources.

Remember I said before that this is Iraq’s last chance to get it right. The world is moving away from oil as its main source of energy. In the US alone the goal is to eventually have every home with solar panels and be energy self-sufficient soon. Soon, they will pass a law mandating this requirement.

The government could not yet do this in the past due to the limitations of solar technology but now it is here. The laws just have to catch up. Refitting existing homes is a bit of a problem but with government grants but it can be done. The payback on solar is enormous as your meter runs backwards. But most importantly you are off the grid and enjoying electricity even in blackout periods. With the coming earth changes this will be a necessity not a luxury.

My point is Iraq’s oil is soon to be a dinosaur energy source and so they must capitalize on the oil now before this energy revolution really takes off.

Iraq must also accomplish a couple goals and do it quickly:
1. Revert from a socialist style hand-out run government system of jobs to a private industry supported payroll. This way the government would not have to shell out billions each month in payrolls and could divert this money to the military defense, security forces and rebuilding a beautiful Iraq once again;

2. Revert from an oil-based revenue society to pay for government expenses such as a commercially run capitalistic based economy. This lesson learned from the recent drop in oil should be a hard lesson learned for Iraq. The problem is will they learn it and progress or fall to the Iranian mentally of a puppet country.

Only through these accomplishments can Iraq survive. And….guess what?
In the process we win as to accomplish these things they must have a tradable currency on FOREX. In fact, as investors we all know this is overdue and they are behind. Just think if they did reinstate the dinar way back in January 2013, as they were supposed to do under Dr Shabibi’s plan.

Right now the currency auctions would suck out of their economy supplying billions to Iran to circumvent their sanctions and pay these militias, the same militias that turn around as the strong arm for the Iranian puppet politicians. Also, the Iranian militias would not have infiltrated and set up camps (post ISIS invasion) to protect their bountiful supply of currency auction revenue. There might even be peace in Iraq today .. who knows?

I don’t mean to allude that a reinstatement is the solution to all of Iraq’s problems. It certainly is not. We all should know the real root of the problem and the real source of it. It is Iran. I have said this over and over again since 2013 and I am still going to say it again - “I told you so”. Nobody seems to listen to me when I make these statements. I wish all these idiotic intel gurus had just half a brain as they too would see it and stop their constant everyday /any day RV nonsense and face reality as it is.

Even this idiot TNT Tony Renfrow kept telling everyone about the bank screens and the rates going live. He also alludes to some secret meetings with the US Treasury and how they sneak out info about a pending RV. Really. So now he criticizes other gurus for the very same thing he is guilty of. I have been telling this idiot even then that the banks and this treasury bullshit mean nothing. To learn about what really is going to happen just follow Iraqi news, the Finance committee and the Central Bank. They are the ones who initiate any RV.

This idiot TNT Tony also still persists that the Iraqi dinar is already on FOREX just because they now post an update from the CBI on the rate. It is not tradable on FOREX or at the banks. Get it? We can not exchange it. Get it?

He is so mixed up and just does not get it right. Every time he screws up he never comes out and apologizes, instead he never mentions it again unless someone calls in and mentions it. Then Rayren just cuts them off from te call anyhow. This too is why they have their normal 10-15 member, brain washed, desperate, groupies that call in consistently over and over again on each call. This is why nobody wants to donate either. Why? The intel is just garbage intel.

So as of lately TNT Tony is desperate. He is cut off of all intel. So what the hell will he talk about? Oh – maybe reading the articles from Iraq to tell the TRUTH and REALITY might be a good start? I notice finally he is taking my advice and resorting to do this. But only out of desperation. I wonder if the guy can even read? But he does it only with reservations as it is not all hype and not glamorous information to read. It is sad what Iraq has done to itself and they have nobody to blame but themselves for letting the fox (Iran) into their chicken coop. What did they expect would happen? Don’t they even know the record of Iran and their support of terrorism?

Update on my new Mnt Goat Site:
So, I am still working with a vendor to get the site up and running. After 10 weeks to do a 2 week effort, it is still not working correctly and is still full of bugs. The funny thing is they keep telling me its ready to activate and then I go and do even minor testing and get system errors and bugs all over the place. So, I record them, pass them on and soon they tell me its ready again. Then cycle begins again.

Just so everyone knows it is “WebCreations” that is building my site and I would never recommend them. Their development process is not customer focused and want to build and deliver sites that do not even meet your needs.

So, I am hopeful we can conclude the development of the new site VERY soon and launch it.

THE CENTRAL BANK BEGINS SELLING THE DOLLAR THROUGH ITS DAILY AUCTION

On Sunday, the Central Bank of Iraq began selling the dollar through its daily auction, after stopping the result of the embargo and since March 17.

The bank’s sales today amounted to 245 million and 669 thousand and 143 dollars, covered by the bank at a base exchange rate of 1190 dinars per dollar.

The bank's sales were all to enhance the balances abroad in the form of transfers and credits that were fully covered by the bank at an exchange rate of 1190 dinars per one dollar., While there was no cash sale to banks.

While none of the 27 banks participating in the currency auction made any offers to sell the dollar.

NATO IS BACK IN IRAQ

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg announced Thursday that NATO has decided to expand its mission in Iraq by training national and security forces cadres during a press conference held at the end of a meeting held by a NATO foreign minister via a television circle.

Stoltenberg said: We agreed to expand our mission in Iraq by placing training for non-commissioned officers, mine experts and federal police cadres within the framework of its program.

(Mnt Goat – just in time to participate in the US surge against the Iranian militias. Nothing is coincidental… When will this begin? It’s not “if” but a matter of “when”.)

US President Donald Trump expressed his conviction that Russia and Saudi Arabia will reach an agreement on the current situation in the oil markets "within days," noting that this situation harms both sides.

Then this came out a day later…

Reuters reported that crude prices recorded their largest one-session gains ever today after Saudi Arabia called an emergency producers meeting to deal with market turmoil and US President Donald Trump's statements that he expects Russia and Saudi Arabia to announce a significant reduction in oil production.

The Azerbaijani Energy Ministry said today, Friday, that all OPEC + alliance countries are expected to participate in a meeting on the 6th of April.

(Mnt Goat – So it looks like Russia may be coming to the table finally to talk about cut backs in oil production under OPEC)

DEPUTY: NEXT WEEK, THE CONTROVERSY OVER ZARFI WILL BE RESOLVED

Member of Parliament Nada Shaker Jawdat confirmed, Thursday, that NEXT WEEK WILL WITNESS THE RESOLUTION OF THE CONTROVERSY OVER PRIME MINISTER-designate Adnan Al-Zorfi, noting that most representatives of political blocs towards supporting Al-Zorfi according to specific conditions.

Jawdat said in a statement to the "information", that "some Shiite political forces, and with the influence of their deputies, are thinking of sitting directly with the commissioner, Adnan Al-Zarfi, and this will be done during the next week to resolve the controversy, setting specific conditions in the next government program."

She added, "These deputies assured their leaders that the country's health and economic conditions will not endure another month, and perhaps other blocs will deliberately reject an alternative to al-Zarfi if he is forced to apologize." Jawdat pointed out that "next week the picture will be clarified regarding Al-Zarfi, whether it is passed or not."

(Mnt Goat – we know that Zarfi has until April 17 not next week to get his government approved. So, this will probably linger another week beyond what they claim. They are always overly optimistic. REaly I don’t know where they get their news from in Iraq… lol..lol..lol.. )

HEAD OF A PARLIAMENTARY BLOC: HOLDING A SESSION TO VOTE ON THE GOVERNMENT IS DIFFICULT, IF NOT IMPOSSIBLE

On Monday, the head of the Badr Parliamentary Bloc, Hassan Shaker, ruled out the holding of a session to vote on the booth of Prime Minister-designate Adnan al-Zorfi, indicating that there was a broad rejection of al-Zorfi, which makes the possibility of holding the meeting difficult, if not impossible.

Al-Kaabi said that "Al-Zrafi, even if he submitted a request to hold a session to vote on his cabinet, the session is unlikely due to several things, including that the assignment of the original was not constitutional or legal with a clear rejection from the Shiite forces concerned with the mandate as they represent the largest bloc" , Indicating that "WHAT MAKES IT MORE DIFFICULT IS THAT THE SUNNI AND KURDISH FORCES HAVE CLEARLY STATED THEIR POSITION THAT THEY WILL NOT ENGAGE WITH ANY CANDIDATE WHO DOES NOT OBTAIN THE SHIITE CONSENSUS, given that this position is a meritorious component."

(Mtn Goat - So this news is not accurate or entirely true. Earlier the Kurds clearly stated they would support the Al-Zrafi government. So this is confusing but only if you listen to these “opinions” and not FACT from the bloc leaders, who obviously does not support Al-Zrafi himself.)

AL-HAKIM’S BLOC IS CONFIDENT THAT THE AL-ZARFI GOVERNMENT WILL PASS: ITS PARLIAMENTARY VOTES ARE SUFFICIENT

The representative of Al-Hikma Bloc, Ali Al-Budeiri, announced today, Sunday, that Prime Minister-designate Adnan Al-Zarfi has 170 parliamentary votes, which qualifies him to gain the confidence of Parliament.

(Mnt Goat – this is like De-Javu! Didn’t we hear this same message about this same time in the process of confirming Al- Allawi but in the long run nothing happened? If he had the votes like they are saying Al_Zarfi does not then what’s the issue? Go and get it done! Remember they never actually took a vote on Allawi as he backed out from pressure from the Shiites.

(Mnt Goat -Al-Zarfi wants a session held this week to take final vote on his government and get him ratified as the new prime minister. Will this take place?)

AMERICAN-IRANIAN ESCALATION IS ON THE RISE

The victory coalition led by Haider al-Abadi considered that the American-Iranian escalation is very dangerous and on the rise, and its consequences will be disastrous for Iraq.

THE KREMLIN: PUTIN WILL HOLD TALKS WITH RUSSIAN OIL COMPANIES

PRO-IRANIAN GROUPS IN IRAQ ARE MANEUVERING TO TOPPLE PRIME MINISTER-DESIGNATE ADNAN AL-ZARFI

Pro-Iranian groups in Iraq are maneuvering to topple Prime Minister-designate Adnan al-Zurfi, who would be the third leader to be deposed in six months.

Zurfi was tapped by President Barham Salih on March 17. Pro-Iranian factions in Iraq, led by Hadi al-Amiri’s Fatah Alliance, have been trying to control the Prime Minister’s Office and consider Zurfi to be too pro-American.

Zurfi has tried to navigate a complex situation in Iraq. In the last year, US-Iran tensions have risen in the country, and Iranian proxies have launched rocket attacks against US forces and the US Embassy. In response, the US carried out airstrikes on the proxies, many of which are part of the official security forces.

THE FINANCE COMMITTEE COMMENTS ON THE CENTRAL BANK’S DECISION TO STOP THE FLOW OF THE DOLLAR

The Finance Committee commented, on Friday, on the Central Bank’s decision to stop the dollar from flowing into the market with the aim of floating the dinar and reducing its value, in order to fill part of the budget deficit and the needs of the government.

The committee’s reporter, Ahmed Al-Saffar, said in an interview with (Baghdad Today) that “READING THE CENTRAL BANK’S INTENTION TO STOP THE FLOW OF THE DOLLAR AND FLOATING THE DINAR TO FILL PART OF THE STATE’S BUDGET DEFICIT IS IMPOSSIBLE, but it may be in harmony with the current .situation to compensate for the shortfall in oil revenues.

Al-Saffar added, "At the same time, the central bank may also be unintentional because of the curfew and the suspension of most life activities
and the reporter of the Finance Committee in Parliament, Ahmed Al-Saffar, spoke last Sunday about the authority of the Central Bank to issue a set of decisions on withdrawing the commission of the US dollar.

Ahmed Al-Saffar said, in an interview with (Baghdad Today), that "the decisions issued by the Central Bank regarding the commission of withdrawing the US dollar are considered within its powers and it is who determines the interest rate, whether by depositing or withdrawing.

Al-Saffar added, "Iraq’s revenues from selling oil go to the Ministry of Finance account at the US Federal Reserve, which the central bank has a branch in," explaining that the process is that the revenues are transferred to the central bank account and the bank transfers it to the Iraqi dinar to the Ministry of Finance to pay employee salaries.

He continued, "The process of withdrawing the dollar and depositing it is related to the policy of the central bank, which is monetary policy. The central bank has the right to raise or reduce interest rates, and this is one of the methods of monetary policy.

On Sunday (March 29, 2020), the Central Bank of Iraq issued a set of decisions regarding the US dollar withdrawal commission and included a document issued by the bank and received (Baghdad today).

"The commission for withdrawing cash for the US dollar, which comes from the incoming transfers to the bank to our accounts in the American Federal Bank, as well as the transfers received to banks from other banks by a rate of seven thousand the bank added: The amounts of the above remittances are transferred to banks by (75%) in cash in dollars according to the above commission, and (25%) pay Iraqi dinars at the official bank rate (1182) dinars to the dollar.

He continued: "The banks must spend the (25%) above on their remittances customers at a price of (1200) dinars / dollars, and submit their requests at the end of each month to the accounting department at the central bank for the purpose of addressing the two price differences in our accounts in Iraqi dinars.

And he continued: Banks can spend the full amount of the transfer received in the Iraqi dinar if the customer desires to do so. He stressed, the above mechanism does not include customer deposits in dollars in cash, where it is paid to the customer in full, but is limited to customers who receive remittances received from outside Iraq of any kind, and internal dollar transfers between their banks in our account.

(Mnt Goat – So once again we see that the currency auctions sell US dollars not dinar. I hope all you ignorant gurus out there can read. Now that we got that straight, we see the CBI rate of the dinar is still very important. )

WASHINGTON INTENDS TO MONITOR THE CENTRAL BANK OF IRAQ UNDER SUPERVISION FOR ITS INVOLVEMENT IN WITHDRAWING THE DOLLAR ILLEGALLY

Washington intends to monitor the Central Bank of Iraq for this reason.

(Mnt Goat-As we all know t he CBI stopped selling the dollar at the currency auctions on around March 17th. So just recently they began the auctions again. They were forced to shut down due the illegal sales of the dollar to Iran that circumvented the US sanctions. A team of US specialists entered Iraq and worked with the CBI to find ways around the corruption. Now that these measures are in place, the auctions were restarted. This monitoring process will continue. The CBI must get within the 2% compliance again.)

A “SMART CRUSHING BLOW” … POSSIBLE US SCENARIOS TO DESTROY IRAN’S INFLUENCE IN IRAQ

So, let’s now watch this action by the US as it is key for our investment. Yes, there is still hope for the reinstatement sooner than later but we need a sudden change in oil prices coinciding with the US getting the Iranian militias and politicians out of Iraq. If Zarfi’s is ratified next week we are off to a very good start in this process. We are also seeing Russia slowly turn around and agree to OPEC policy. Oil is slowly rising…)

AL-ZARFI PROMISES TO REBUILD IRAQ IN 6 MONTHS

Baghdad – Mawazine News, the Prime Minister-designate, Adnan Al-Zorfi, expressed his intention on Wednesday to close the file of the displaced completely and launch a “major” reconstruction campaign in Iraq in the event that he was able to form the next government, which is scheduled to last for 6 months.

DEPUTY: CORONA EPIDEMIC WILL SAVE ZARFI GOVERNMENT

Baghdad-Ain] Member of Parliament Assaad Al-Badri confirmed on Wednesday that MOST POLITICAL BLOCS WILL SUPPORT THE PASSAGE OF THE GOVERNMENT OF PRIME MINISTER-DESIGNATE ADNAN AL-ZRAFI DUE TO THE OUTBREAK OF THE CORONA EPIDEMIC.

Al-Badri said in a statement that “facing the Corona epidemic needs financial allocations, and this matter depends on the draft of the Maronite Federal Law.”

He added that “most of the political blocs WILL SACRIFICE THEIR PERSONAL INTERESTS AND SUPPORT ZARAFI,” noting that “Zarrafi will pass by a comfortable majority within the House of Representatives.”

I say NO he is not however he is trying to wait to take vote until all three secs (Kurds, Sunni and Shiites are represented in the new government. I don’t necessarily agree with his tactics since we have majority and minorities all the time in the US congress. This is how democracy works. You have representation but the MAJORITY passes with each election cycle. So legally I don’t see he can just arbitrarily hold up parliament from taking a vote on Zarfi’s government. Seems these ignorant gurus strike again with their stupidity.)

A DEPUTY CALLS ON AL-ZARFI TO PRESENT HIS GOVERNMENT CABIN QUICKLY TO END THE CHAOS

Member of Parliament Ali Al-Badiri called on Friday, Prime Minister-designate Adnan Al-Zorfi to expedite the presentation of his ministerial cabinet to the House of Representatives and to set an urgent date by the Presidency of Parliament to vote on it and leave the option to members of Parliament.

Al-Badiri said in an interview with Alsumaria News, that "AS IT SEEMS, SOME POLITICAL PARTIES LIVE ON ANOTHER PLANET AND ARE STILL SEEKING BEHIND THEIR INTERESTS AND GAINS, FORGETTING THE CATASTROPHE OF THE IRAQI PEOPLE."

He added that "THE NEXT GOVERNMENT IS A SPECIFIC GOVERNMENT WITH A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME THAT DOES NOT EXCEED THE YEAR AND ALSO WITH SPECIFIC GOALS. Therefore, the ridiculous and stubborn stories practiced by some in an attempt to obstruct the passage of the current taxpayer and the pursuit of Iraq for the first square forgetting the suffering of Iraq and its people is a shame and they are ashamed of their audiences and components. The people, especially the working classes and those with limited incomes, who have been cut off for two months because of the curfew, and we will see an increase in robbery, and murder because of this chaos. "

Al-Badiri clarified, “The political forces should be ashamed of the poor people, and warn against the revolution of the hungry over them and their positions and their chairs, because the situation is going to the unknown and the PEOPLE ARE FED UP WITH THAT FARCE BETWEEN A GOVERNMENT WITH LACK OF POWERS AND DECISIONS FROM THE CRISIS CELL WHOSE FIRST GOAL IS TO KILL THE POOR STARVING AND NOT TO KILL POLITICIANS AND THEIR OBSESSION WITH THEM. They only serve external agendas and struggles for private gain and corruption.

Al-Badiri called on the Prime Minister-designate to "PRESENT HIS GOVERNMENT CABINET WITH A VERY SHORT TIME AWAY FROM THE MOOD OF THE REJECTIONISTS WHO REPRESENT THEMSELVES AND THEIR PARTIES ONLY AND NOT THE IRAQI PEOPLE WITH ALL ITS COMPONENTS.

Also, THE PRESIDENCY OF THE PARLIAMENT MUST SET A DATE SOON FOR A SESSION TO VOTE ON THE CABINET AND LEAVE THE OPTION FOR MEMBERS OF PARLIAMENT TO VOTE."
