The Oil Ministry announced, on Tuesday, the names of a number of fuel filling stations operating during the embargo in Baghdad, indicating that the outlets of the Oil Products Distribution Company will supply citizens with their needs of fuel and liquid gas.

The ministry’s spokesman, Assem Jihad, said in a statement, “Economy News” received a copy of it, “The ministry developed a pre-emptive plan before the curfew took effect, as the oil products distribution company and the General Company for Packaging and Gas Services provided and pumped large quantities of petroleum products and fuel at the filling stations. And liquid gas cylinders in the gas sales yards to supply citizens with their needs, as well as strengthening storage in warehouses and filling stations. "

Jihad explained that "the Ministry’s procedures during the ban include opening a number of fuel filling stations on both sides of Karkh and Rusafa around the clock despite the restriction of vehicle movement and reducing the consumption of gasoline and gas, as the stations operating on the Karkh side will be stations (Bayaa, Narsyan and Shula) and on the Rusafa side stations Mobilization (Freedom, Kilani, Charter).

He added that "the outlets of the Oil Products Distribution Company will supply citizens with their needs of fuel and liquid gas for cooking, in addition to running trucks loaded with liquid gas cylinders between the neighborhoods of the capital Baghdad, as well as mobile vendors to deliver the cylinders to the citizens, and this comes in coordination with the Baghdad Operations Command."

To prevent the spread of Corona virus, the Crisis Cell decided, Sunday (15 March 2010), to impose a curfew from eleven o'clock on Tuesday night until the 24th of this month.
