The Iraq Stock Exchange announced, on Sunday, the circulation of 5 billion shares worth more than 4 billion dinars during the past week .

The market said in a press statement, "The number of companies traded shares during the past week reached 46 companies out of 104 companies listed on the market ."

The market added, "The number of shares traded reached 5.915 billion shares, down 19.8% compared to last week, with a financial value of 4.407 billion dinars, down 72.6% compared to last week, achieved through 1662 transactions ."

He pointed out that "the index of prices traded closed at ISX60 at 462.96 points, up 0.4% from its close last week ."

It is mentioned that the Iraq Stock Exchange used electronic trading systems and central depository since 2009 and seeks to launch an online trading system for investors, and organizes five trading sessions per week from Sunday to Thursday, and it includes 104 Iraqi joint stock companies representing the sectors of banking, communications, industry, agriculture, insurance, financial investment, tourism and hotels .
