On Thursday, corresponding to 2/6, the Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to Athens, Shorsh Khaled Saedium, presented his credentials as a non-resident ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to the President of the Republic of Cyprus Nikos Anastasiades.

The presentation ceremony was held at the presidential palace in the presence of the Cypriot Minister of Foreign Affairs and Head of the Protocol Department.

The Ambassador conveyed the greetings of the President of the Republic, Barham Salih, and the desire of Iraq to further develop bilateral relations, and more cooperation in all fields.

For his part, the Cypriot President affirmed the importance of Iraq, the need to develop bilateral relations, and the willingness of Cyprus to participate in the reconstruction of Iraq, wishing Iraq peace and progress.

The Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan Haider Al-Athari met with the Jordanian Prime Minister Omar Al-Razaz in the framework of efforts to enhance communication and bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries.

Mr. Al-Razzaz stressed the depth of relations between the two countries, and work to achieve more cooperation and partnership to serve the interests of the two peoples, noting the importance of overcoming obstacles in the field of trade exchange, mutual investment opportunities and economic activity.

For his part, Al-Adhari pointed out that Iraq is keen to move forward to make its relations with brotherly Jordan more solid and effective, especially in the economic field, reviewing the volume of trade exchange between the two countries based on the data available to the embassy.

The Deputy Head of the International Organizations and Conferences Department, Minister Commissioner Commissioner Rahman Farhan Al-Amiri met with the Deputy Head of the Australian Embassy Mission in Baghdad, Matt Alexander, at the Ministry’s headquarters in Baghdad. 


The position of the two countries and their presence on the international scene is strengthened, and the Deputy Head of the International Organizations and Conferences Department valued the positive positions of Australia in supporting Iraq in international forums.
