Baghdad - news

A source close to Lieutenant General Abdul Wahab Al-Saadi revealed, Thursday, the details of the latter's meeting with the Prime Minister-designate Mohammed Tawfiq Allawi, stressing that there is no promise to the Saadi team to take a certain position.

The source told Al-Ikhbaria that "a certain position for the Al-Saadi team has not been agreed upon, but the Prime Minister-designate promised to have a major role in his government in the event that his cabinet cabinet is passed inside the parliament dome."

He explained: "Al-Saadi asked Allawi, in the event that the government formation is complete, to authorize him to pursue the killers of the demonstrators and hold them accountable to the people, and Allawi agreed to this." ".

The source added: "Allawi mentioned some of the names of the senior officers and said that they are honest and courageous," noting that "Al-Saadi assured Allawi that the military institution suffers from rampant corruption," and added that the Prime Minister-designate informed Al-Saadi that he was aware of this.

It is noteworthy that a senior political source said in a statement to the news agency, earlier today, that "Allawi received al-Saadi in his office today to discuss the formation of the ministerial cabinet, especially the security ministries."

He added: "Allawi is planning to present the Al-Saadi team as a candidate for one of the security ministries, the interior or the defense."

The source confirmed, "The Prime Minister-designate started meetings to form his government, and he is considering submitting 12 to 13 ministries from his cabinet to vote on in the House of Representatives as a first stage."
