The Minister of Planning, Dr. Nuri Sabah Al-Dulaimi, chaired today, a meeting attended by a number of private sector activities related to the tourism sector and the advanced cadre in the Ministry of Planning. During the meeting, they discussed possible support for tourism in Iraq.

During the meeting, Dr. Nouri Al-Dulaimi indicated the ministry's strategy and efforts to support the tourism sector and its effective contribution to the gross domestic product, pointing to the importance of optimal investment for all tourist areas and providing the necessary infrastructure for them, and the conditions necessary to advance the tourism reality in all governorates.

He pointed to the importance that the board of directors and development of the private sector that the ministry has gone through to form within its development strategy, calling for all tourism companies to adopt pilot projects and benefit from the young Iraqi capabilities in implementing, affirming that the ministry provides the relevant facilities to launch such projects.

For their part, businessmen and representatives of the tourism sector in Iraq praised the efforts of the Minister and the role of the Ministry in supporting this vital sector, calling on the relevant government agencies to provide more support to tourism facilities and provide the basic requirements for the success of their projects.
