The deputy of the Al-Fateh Alliance, Walid Al-Sahlani, affirmed on Sunday that the Iraqi government will protect the country's airspace militarily after the House of Representatives vote to expel the American and foreign forces from Iraq , while that Iraq will go towards purchasing advanced air defense weapons to secure the protection of sovereignty.

Al-Sahlani said in a statement to "Information", that "the proposal to expel foreign forces scheduled to be voted on today included the government's commitment to purchase air defense weapons to secure Iraqi airspace and preserve sovereignty from American attacks," noting that "the use of solid foreign security companies will be limited to armament only." .

He added that "the Iraqi government will ensure the protection of its airspace militarily after the House of Representatives voted on the decision to expel American and foreign forces from the country," noting that "the government has not handed over the Iraqi airspace to any foreign country and is able to protect its airspace."

Al-Fateh coalition revealed, today, Sunday, that a meeting was held between Speaker of Parliament Mohamed Al-Halbousi and resigned Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi and political blocs to authorize the government to remove American forces from the country.
