Al-Attar said in a statement that Alsumaria News received, a copy of it, that "the auto industry includes design, manufacture and marketing of vehicles," noting that "the auto industry and its assembly are considered to be a component of the Iraqi economy at the present time."
Al-Attar added that "the auto industry and its assembly face many obstacles and challenges currently that have made it a great challenge for Iraqi capital investors," calling for "to overcome obstacles and challenges facing the auto industry in Iraq."
Al-Attar pointed out "some of the main points that must be worked on in order to stimulate the manufacture and assembly of cars in Iraq, including:
1- Increasing financing for this industry to suit its needs
2- Eliminate marketing and administrative difficulties
3- Employment of the largest number of qualified and manpower engineers and technicians
4- Inviting venture capitalists to invest their money in the automotive industry
He stressed that "activating this step from one of the joints of the Iraqi industry will contribute greatly to absorbing the unemployment that exists in the country."

Ghadir Al-Attar, a member of the National Business Council, stressed the importance of the coming government’s resort to developing the Iraqi auto industry.
