Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies Mohammed Al-Halbousi received, today, Thursday, the German Chargé d'Affairs, Mr. Jochen Mueller.

The meeting discussed the bilateral relations between the two countries, the development of political conditions in Iraq, and discussed cooperation in the field of combating terrorism, efforts to return the displaced and achieve stability, as well as expanding investment opportunities for German companies in Iraq, and contributing to reconstruction.

For his part, the German Chargé d'Affaires affirmed his country's cooperation with Iraq and its support for its stability away from foreign interference and respect for its sovereignty, and also pointed out that Germany is keen to expand the work of its companies in all fields and in all Iraqi cities, as well as contribute to the reconstruction of liberated cities.
