BAGHDAD - Mawazine News
MP Mohammed Iqbal, Thursday, that the International Monetary Fund warned the government of excessive spending and alerted of the budget deficit next year.
Iqbal said in an interview carried by Mawazine News correspondent that "the International Monetary Fund pointed out a few months ago to overspend in government spending and warned of a composite deficit in the 2020 budget."
He added: "Is the government ready to avoid the crisis? Especially after the inability of oil-producing countries to curb supplies and high oil stocks in the market, and global indicators of the contraction of economic growth," noting that "the people need to be frank."
