The report also showed that the refinery conducted a preliminary trial operation of the hydrogen plant in 2017 with a capacity of 35% of its total capacity, but the plant has not entered the service to date because of the failure of the Italian company executing the experts responsible for the operation, as during the operation showed technical problems, including The unit did not reach the required operating temperatures as well as the inefficiency of the heater (E - 106), as well as the color change of the metal of the upper part of the reactor (R-103) (Pre Reformer).
