Iran reaches the volume of exports of goods to Iraq for one billion dollars per month

According to Hamid Hosseini, Secretary-General of the Iranian-Iraqi Chamber of Commerce in statements to him, has confirmed the export of goods with an average of 30 million dollars per day to Iraq and up to one billion dollars a month, which means that the value to about 12 billion dollars annually.

Economic reports said that the volume of exports of Iranian goods to Iraq approached an average of one billion dollars per month.
According to Hamid Hosseini, Secretary-General of the Iranian-Iraqi Chamber of Commerce in statements to him, has confirmed the export of goods with an average of 30 million dollars per day to Iraq and up to one billion dollars a month, which means that the value to about 12 billion dollars annually.
However, while the value of exports of Iranian goods is positive for Tehran, Hosseini said that exports so far in 2019 have fallen from the level recorded in 2018 for several reasons not elaborated.
Hamid said that the fluctuation of the exchange rate of the Iranian riyal against the dollar, as a result of US economic pressure, has affected the position of Iranian goods in the Iraqi market, as after efforts described as "painstaking" has been restored the status of many Iranian goods and directed to Iraq as strong as tomato paste and dairy.
