Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs and Minister of Finance receives the new economic consul at the Embassy of the United States of America in Baghdad

The Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs and Minister of Finance Mr. Fuad Hussein in Baghdad Sunday 5 August 2019 Mr. Patrick John, the new economic consul at the Embassy of the United States of America in Baghdad and the accompanying delegation, and during the meeting reviewed the bilateral relations between Iraq and America, especially in the economic field
The two sides also discussed during the meeting the economic situation in general in Iraq as well as the meetings of preparing the budget strategy for the next year, in which the Deputy Prime Minister said that we began the first step towards the preparation of budget programs and performance instead of the previous digital budgets
For his part, Mr. Patrick John said his country is fully prepared to support the Iraqi economy in order to strengthen the advanced bilateral relations between Iraq and the United States
The two sides also discussed the obstacles and problems faced by the private sector, especially the foreign in the process of investment and work in Iraq
