Economy News _ Baghdad

The Chinese ambassador to Baghdad, Zhang Tao, said Wednesday that the volume of trade exchange between his country and Iraq exceeded 30 billion US dollars last year.
 
"The relations between his country and Iraq have been greatly strengthened in recent years," Tao told a joint news conference in Kirkuk province with Acting Prime Minister Rakan Said al-Jubouri. 

He added that "the volume of trade exchange between Iraq and China in 2018 amounted to more than 30 billion dollars." 

"The proportion of China's investment in Iraq exceeded 20 billion US dollars," Tao said.
