The State Company for Copper Industries, one of the companies of the Ministry of Industry and Minerals, Tuesday, increased the production of copper wire to 150 tons.

The company's general manager Akram Shaker Abdul Fattah said in a statement read by "Economy News" that "the company and through the factories of copper martyr affiliated to it has managed during the past period and the efforts of its cadres working to operate the copper wire production line and the rise in production to more than (150) tons of Copper wire diameter 8 mm ".

Abdul-Fattah added that "the quantity contracted with the General Company of (100) tons ready for marketing and pending the completion of approvals for the fundamental processing," calling for "activating the decisions to restore scrap copper and crap to the company by the ministries of state as was previously done for the continuation of the process Productivity and prevent the diversion of foreign currency outside the country through the import of raw materials necessary to operate the copper wire factory.

The Director-General stressed "the concerted effort of the cadres of the copper martyr factories and their success in producing a new batch of cathode sheets of 12 tons with high purity, which is the basic material in the copper wire industry in order to continue producing copper wires for the public company Orr in accordance with the contracts concluded between the parties."
