Mr. Hassan Kareem Al Kaabi, First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives confirmed that the legislative authority will adopt in the coming period the declaration of the International Journalism Award for the detection of corruption. He expressed his desire to hold an academic workshop to discuss the draft law "Access to Information" And to benefit from the specialized visions presented in relation to the law.
During his reception at his office on Wednesday, July 17, 2019, Dr. Hashim Hassan, Dean of the College of Information at the University of Baghdad, expressed his desire to hold a protocol and strategic partnership throughout the current parliamentary session with the College of Media, which is a university academic institution, Pointing out that the goal of the partnership will be to establish events, seminars and workshops that provide full and necessary support in the issue of fighting corruption and monitoring the legislative and governmental performance, and the adoption of new information mechanisms on them.
During the meeting, Al-Kaabi stressed the importance of this protocol to play an active role in nurturing the creative and creative capacities and listening to them and their detailed visions of the legislative and executive authorities and their long-term programs and benefiting from them in strategic plans and activating them throughout the country.
