Kuwaiti company filed an arbitration request with the International Commission in a dispute with (Cork Telecom - Iraq)

Kuwait's Agility General Warehousing Company announced on Sunday that it had filed a request with the International Regulatory Authority (ICC) to consider its dispute with Cork Telecom Iraq.

The company said in a statement quoted by Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) and its correspondent, Al-Ghad Press, that it filed an arbitration request against the company with Cork Telecom Iraq in February 2017 based on the agreement on settlement of investment disputes between countries and citizens of other countries and the mutual encouragement agreement Investments signed between the governments of the two countries ".

"Its claim was based on the cancellation of its investment in Cork Telekom-Iraq and the transfer of Ajiliti and other partners in Cork to the first Iraqi shareholders in March 2019 without repaying the original Agility investment."

"It is not possible to determine the impact on the financial position of the company as a result of the previous decision before the conclusion of the arbitration proceedings and the final award decision."
