The Iraqi government: the disruption of oil exports in the Strait of Hormuz "a major obstacle" .. In front of the economy

BAGHDAD - Iraqi Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi described any disruption to oil exports across the Strait of Hormuz as a "major obstacle" to the Iraqi economy.
"The Iraqi government is considering contingency plans to deal with any possible disruptions, including the search for alternative routes for oil exports," Abdul Mahdi said at the weekly government meeting on Tuesday .
On May 12, four civilian commercial cargo ships from several nationalities were subjected to sabotage operations near the UAE's territorial waters in the Gulf of Oman, towards the east coast near Fujairah and near the territorial waters and in the economic waters of the UAE.
Two days later, Saudi Arabia's minister of energy, industry and mineral wealth revealed two pumping stations for the East-West pipeline, which was transporting Saudi oil from oilfields in the eastern region to the port of Yanbu on the west coast from a drone attack .
King Salman also called for two Arab and Gulf summits to consult and coordinate with the brotherly countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council and the League of Arab States in order to enhance security and stability in the region.
