The field cadres of the Agricultural Statistics Division in Karbala and Qadissiya governorates carried out measurements and harvest experiments for selected holders of the main crop sample (wheat, barley and potatoes) for the 2019 winter season for its importance in the availability of a statistical database to serve researchers and decision makers. And a time series that enables decision makers to develop agricultural policy for planning import, export, storage and meeting local needs.

The fields of the holders were measured using the GPS device and the selection of harvest spots through Arc Map because of the accuracy of these tools in calculating the required data.

After the implementation of the harvest experiments, the average yield of the selected spot was calculated and recorded in the electronic field crop survey system. These activities are carried out seasonally after collecting the frame data and during the winter and summer seasons and carried out in cooperation and coordination with the provincial directorates of agriculture.
