Iraq continues to be a Muslim country with strict restrictions. Initially, it was clear that joining an international organization would not change the state of affairs, but some journalists expected changes. The main problem is that civil society cannot express its opinion, as the Europeans do through the platform https://www.councilratings.co.uk. Without conscious citizens, the country will not be able to develop and become more accessible. I hope that in a few generations, the Arab countries will be able to develop enough for journalism to become free finally.
