(Baghdad: Al Furat News) The Ministerial Council for Energy held a meeting today under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi, to discuss the reality of the electrical system and levels of production, distribution and consumption in Baghdad and the provinces and the needs of main stations and subsidiary and find solutions to the emergency problems facing the electrical network, Discuss the work of generators eligibility.

The Ministerial Council of Energy issued several immediate decisions to strengthen the electrical power, the most important of which are:

First: The Ministry of Industry {Electrical Industries Company} to provide the Ministry of Electricity with 350 converted different capacities to fill gaps and bottlenecks in the distribution sector.

Second: Provision of necessary financial allocations from the emergency budget for the purchase of transformers from the private sector.

Third: The companies of the Ministry of Electricity and the Ministry of Industry to contract to repair the unemployed distribution transformers of the Ministry of Electricity, according to a long-term contract.

The meeting was attended by the Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs, the Minister of Oil, the Ministers of Electricity and Water Resources, the Ministries of Electricity, Industry and Planning, and a number of Directors General, Experts and Consultants.
