The oil ministry on Thursday unveiled a plan to raise oil production from the Kirkuk fields to 1 million bpd. 

The Minister of Oil, Thamer Ghadhban, in an interview with the newspaper "morning" and the official read "Economy News", his ministry "is preparing a plan to promote the production of Kirkuk fields from 400 thousand b / to 1 million b / d." 

He pointed out that "Iraq is currently exporting through the Turkish port of Jahan 900 thousand barrels of oil produced there and the remaining goes to domestic production." 
Ghadhban added that his ministry "
