Democratic Party and National Union sign agreement to form a new government in Kurdistan

(Baghdad: Al Furat News) The Democratic Party signed with the National Union, on Sunday, the draft political agreement to form a new government in the Kurdistan region.
The official agreement was signed between the Vice President of the Democratic Party, Nigirvan Barzani, and the Deputy Secretary-General of the National Union Kusrat Rasul, in the city of Sulaymaniyah.
"After a long and difficult round of talks, today we have signed and formally agreed with the National Union, and we are happy to reach a road map to form the new Kurdistan Regional Government," Barzani said at the signing ceremony of the agreement according to Kurdish media.
"The Democratic Party, the National Union and the Movement for Change are all winning parties in the recent elections, and we hope that they will all strive to provide the necessary services to all citizens."
For his part, Deputy Secretary-General of the National Union Kosrat Rasul, "This agreement is a historic event, and serves the people of Kurdistan," asserting "we have reached an agreement with the Movement for Change and with the democratic to form a new government." is over
