The Iranian National Oil Company (NIOC) decided on Thursday to open an office in Iraq to facilitate cooperation in the oil industry and the transfer of engineering and technical services to the neighboring country.
The first meeting was held between the top managers of the Iraqi Ministry of Oil and the producers of the equipment of the Iranian oil industry on the sidelines of the 24th oil exhibition in Tehran attended by the Assistant Iraqi Oil Minister Mahmoud Abdul Amir Hashem and the Director of maintenance, production and supply of goods Of the Iranian Oil Company Ramin Qalambar Desfouli.
The meeting was held with the aim of studying ways to facilitate the establishment of an office representing the Iranian Oil Company in Iraq, in addition to establishing a link between the Iranian manufacturers and the oil industry in Iraq .
Desfouli said that the office would be established before the end of this year, stressing the existence of efforts to find ways to create cooperation between Iranian producers and the private sector active inIraq's oil .
The Iranian official said that companies supported by the Iranian National Oil Company could participate in the projects of the Ministry of Oil in Iraq .
