The head of the Kurdistan Islamic Union bloc in the Iraqi parliament Muthana Amin on Friday criticized the decision issued by the US administration, which included the Iranian Revolutionary Guard on the list of terrorist organizations, expected to turn Iraq into a battlefield between the two countries because of the resolution.
"The US decision on the Revolutionary Guards is wrong and illogical," Amin told Voice of America radio.
"I believe that there is no Iraqi political force supporting the US decision, not for Iran, but for Iraq not to become a battlefield for the possibility of war between America and Iran," he said.
"The permanent constitution does not allow the use of Iraq's territory in the attack on neighboring countries, including Iran, but Iraq does not have the necessary force to maintain the sovereignty of its territory to stop America and Iran if a war broke out between them on his territory."
