BAGHDAD (Reuters) - US
House of Representatives Speaker Mohamed Halabousi and US Deputy Secretary of State John Silvan on Sunday stressed the importance of cooperation between Baghdad and Washington in the economic and investment fields, reconstruction and support for the Iraqi government.
The Information Office of the Speaker of the House of Representatives, in a statement received / Mawazine News / copy, that "Halbusi, met with US Deputy Secretary of State John Silvan," noting that "the meeting discussed a number of issues of common interest, and strengthen the relations and development of the two friendly countries, various fields".
"The meeting discussed the strategic partnership between the United States and Iraq, the continuation of efforts in the fight against terrorism and extremist ideology and the defeat of a final advocate, and emphasize the importance of commitment to the sovereignty and security and prosperity of Iraq away from threats.
The two sides stressed the importance of cooperation between Baghdad and Washington in the economic and investment fields, reconstruction and support of the Iraqi government to provide services to citizens and provide jobs through the actual contribution of US companies in the reconstruction projects of infrastructure and services for all Iraqi cities.
