Foreign Minister Mohamed Ali al-Hakim said that Iraq will attend the Arab summit, which will start in Tunis today, with a meeting of senior officials of the Arab Economic and Social Council.

The meeting of the Economic and Social Council will be held at the ministerial level on Thursday and then the meeting of foreign ministers on Friday.

The next Saturday will be dedicated to the reception of leaders, and the summit will be held on Sunday.

The agenda of the summit includes about 20 projects, mainly the Palestinian issue, the Syrian crisis, the situation in Libya and Yemen, support for peace and development in Sudan, Iranian interventions in the affairs of the Arab countries, Turkish intervention in northern Iraq, Arab conflict and terrorism.

The summit will also discuss an item on displaced persons in the Arab countries, especially the Iraqis, which was included at the request of Iraq, in addition to other items that will be developed. The Economic and Social Council will discuss several issues, including follow-up to the resolutions of the Arab Economic Summit in Beirut, while the Secretary-General of the Arab leaders will report on follow-up to the implementation of the resolutions adopted by the previous Arab Summit in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.
