The Council of the border crossings; on Saturday; the implementation of the decision of the Council of Ministers to standardize customs duties at all outlets in Iraq.
"The Director General of the General Authority of Customs, Munther Abdul Amir Assad, presided over an expanded meeting today, which included the directors of all regions and customs centers, to discuss the implementation of the Council of Ministers Resolution No. (13) of 2019, which approved the unification of procedures and customs duties at all federal outlets."
He explained that "the meeting was to follow up the implementation of the decision of the Council of Ministers mentioned and obstacles to work and ways to address the problems faced by companies and the movement of trade in ports and in land and air ports."
According to the statement, "the customs authorities should provide the technical committee set up by the body to evaluate the experience and consolidate the procedures with all the negatives and observations that accompanied the implementation of the decision based on paragraph (IX)."
"It is serious to ensure the success of the implementation of the resolution to its importance in uniting the work in all federal outlets and its contribution to support the public and private sectors and establish the rule of justice in the imposition of fees and it will reveal the weakness and strength in the infrastructure of border crossings and their real operational capacity and quality of services to attract importers."
