The French ambassador to Iraq, Bruno Ober, said on Thursday that his country is at the forefront of supporting the democratic experiment in Iraq.
"There are important participants between the two countries in the cultural and historical fields," Bruno Ober told a dinner hosted by the Asad elders of the tribe of Abada in Nasiriyah.
"France is at the forefront of countries supporting the democratic experience in Iraq," he said, noting that "there are broad prospects for cultural, social and economic cooperation between Paris and Baghdad."
