Secretary General of the Council of Ministers: The government is working with parallel plans to achieve stability and reconstruction in Sinjar district

The Secretary General of the Council of Ministers received Dr. Mehdi al-Aalak, activist Yazidi Abid Shamdeen, special advisor and head of the UN team to investigate the abuses of Mr. Kareem Asaad Khan, to discuss the status of Yezidis in Iraq.

The Secretary-General pointed out that the government is working with parallel plans to achieve stability and reconstruction in the judiciary on the one hand, and resolving the outstanding administrative issues and the file of peaceful co-existence and national reconciliation on the other. He called for intensifying the social role among all concerned parties to achieve this, For peaceful coexistence and reconciliation, as in the case of the Bartala Conference.

For his part, Shamdine praised the efforts exerted by the government to provide security for Sinjar and reconstruction and rehabilitation of the sectors destroyed by Dahesh. He pointed out the importance of providing more governmental and international support for the establishment of a hospital and a university in the judiciary.
