FOURTH FORUM OF PUBLIC FINANCE IN THE ARAB STATES "LAYING THE FOUNDATIONS OF GOOD GOVERNANCE OF FISCAL POLICY IN THE ARAB COUNTRIES"

The Arab Monetary Fund, in partnership with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the Ministry of Finance of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), will organize the Fourth Forum on Public Finance in the Arab States, on Saturday, February 9, 2019 in Dubai. The forum will be opened by HE Obaid Humaid Al Tayer, UAE Minister of State for Financial Affairs, HE Dr. Abdulrahman bin Abdullah Al Humaidi, Director General of the Arab Monetary Fund, and Christine Lagarde, Director General of the IMF. Arab finance ministers, central bank governors and Arab monetary institutions, as well as a number of presidents, senior officials and experts from regional and international financial institutions and ministries of finance and central banks in the Arab countries.
The Forum will discuss financial policy issues and prospects for economic and financial developments. The forum aims at exchanging experiences and discussing the challenges faced by economic policy makers in the Arab region in the context of regional and international economic and financial developments. The Forum will address the strategies and challenges of achieving inclusive and sustainable growth, as well as discuss the experiences of developing fiscal frameworks and rules. The forum will also discuss the coordination of financial and monetary policies in the context of economic and financial developments. It will also address regional and international experiences related to the development of public debt management policies and strategies.
On this occasion, Dr. Abdulrahman bin Abdullah Al-Humaidi, Director General of the Arab Monetary Fund, stressed the importance of the forum as a forum to enhance the exchange of experiences and experiences among Arab countries to discuss the challenges of fiscal policy in the context of current economic and financial developments. In terms of fiscal reforms and the development of public debt management strategies, and the implications of these efforts on the prospects for achieving economic stability and promoting sustainable and comprehensive growth. He also expressed his thanks and gratitude to the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Finance and the Central Bank of the United Arab Emirates for their cooperation in preparing the forum.
