The Committee on Agriculture and Irrigation warned on Thursday of a significant loss of livestock and agricultural resources, if the rivers are not lined up in anticipation of the annual water crisis.
A member of the committee, Salam al-Shammari, in a statement received "economy News" a copy of it, "The delay in non-lining, especially in the provinces affect the agricultural and animal wealth in the country, and thus cause a great loss for educators and farmers."
Al-Shammari called on the concerned parties to "delineate the rivers to benefit from the increasing quantities, in anticipation of the annual water crisis and to put the root solutions to this crisis."
He added that "the Ministry of Water Resources to work on this method at times does not affect the breeders of animals and farmers close to the riverbed or its branches."
"The Ministry of Water Resources should take advantage of rain and flood water to strengthen water reservoirs, as well as treat salinity, as well as contribute to the success of the agricultural plan for the current season," he said.
The methods adopted in the lining of rivers and irrigation channels require the cutting of water for them to complete the work and then open the water on them and in any quantity without causing any damage.
