Changing Layout

Why does the layout of this forum keep changing? Now it looks like some sort of circus site. The plain green one was the best so far IMHO. Can we just settle on something please?

Very cool...I like it. Except the colors of the squares that tell you where the new messages are: the blue and the gray are too close in color.

Because everybody wanted the PM feature back, the other one I did, apparently didnt have one. . .

Sorry if Im buggin ya . . . but I work full time, so I only have time to work on this when I can squeeze in the time, usually around this time of night. . .

Thanks, we appretiate the work you do for us. If we can't put up with a few minor changes we're in big trouble when this thing RVs! Lol.

You're right the flag one is to busy, hard to keep the eye on the print...

It has to change......One wouldn't pay for something plain jane....but soon it will warrant that BGG $10.95 or that PTR $14.95...stay tune, I forgot its about helping the common folks post RV (who will just happen to be Millionaires?????hhhhmmmmmmmm

There's so much about the most recent incarnation of the site that is really great. The new flag logo on the top is particularly attractive. But I'm wondering if there is some setting so the page won't be so wide? I have to continually scroll from side to side now to read things. And my monitor is a decent size, so I don't think it's the fault of my hardware. Any help on this would be very much appreciated! Thank you!

The writing in the main area (out here) is kinda small at least for my eyes. I know it was too big and too wide for people thus you made it smaller. Any chance of someone making it bigger? If not I will adjust Smile

Geez I bet it was - I can't imagine and would not want the job - dealing with all that coding would drive me bananas - great work Miskebam!!! it is much easier on the eyes to see and read now with the color blue and the text defaulting to dark as possible so you can view all of the ungrateful intel bashers much better now - thank you I know it must of been pretty tuff going doing that stuff -

I think the circus comment was in regards to a different background they had tried for only a brief time. It was all these huge stars behind the entire page...all over the place. Ya, it was rather circus like. It was only up for a few minutes, you may have missed that one if you were MIA...

The black writing on blue background is kinda hard for these 61 year old eyes to read, but who cares? The site is 100% better looking and it matches my avatar.

I love the new look tho if I may add Okie Oil Man, Realm of Possibilities, General Discussion, Nuff said should all be in white against the blue background. Black on blue does not stand out too well! JMHO

The problem with the black on blue is that the same font is used across the entire page. . . so if the font is lightened then, it will go lighter in the WHITE area that you are reading right now, which is the more important information in comparison to the BLACK ON BLUE, which is only display and not functional really, save a few things like "view the posts since last visit".

I could go lighter in the back ground to make the BLACK stand out more, but thats what turned into a mess of me staying up late, Thought I had it squared, and found out that the skin I used didnt come with a PM button . . . :shock:

Then the next skin I used, apparently wasnt coded right, because it. . . totally removed ALL ADMINS, we all thought we were fired

SO that lands us back here. . . I might do a little this weekend, but I can NOT stay up til one in the morning this go around, I was worthless at work today

You cannot see to read defaulted light grey text it is a strain to read light text - the option to change colors is already available in this box for people to choose - grey text is too light when you are reading a lot of information

There is not enough contrast to see blue on blue headers just like the red on grey that you cannot read without straining it looks like a blur and I don't need glasses --- the dark blue headers you had last night was nice though perhaps with white text or red headers with white text like you had a few minutes ago though its your choice of course. The darker crisp colors with good contrast is clear to see

So I have decided to work on this later this weekend. . . I like the red white and blue too. . . til then, so that we can have the PM button, have restored it back to the original . . .
