A deputy of the National Axis Alliance, on Wednesday, that the deputies in the National Coalition nominated Speaker of the House of Representatives Salim Jubouri to the Ministry of Defense, while pointed out that the leader of the coalition Iyad Allawi does not have the right to choose the candidate.
"According to the information available to us, a number of national deputies, including Mohammed Tamim and Muthanna al-Samarrai nominated Salim al-Jubouri to the Ministry of Defense," MP Abdullah al-Kharbit said, noting that "the Ministry of Defense eligibility of the national list."
He added that "according to the contexts in the National Coalition, the leader Iyad Allawi took his chance to nominate a personality of the Ministry of Defense, he nominated Faisal Jarba, who did not get the approval of the House of Representatives and now the opportunity will be to the rest of the national leadership to provide a candidate for the Ministry of Defense.
He pointed out that "the ministry is the share of the Sunni component, and if Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi chose the nomination of Jubouri will get a consensus on it," noting that "his coalition nominated leaders in the fight against terrorism to the ministry and remains the last choice of Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi."

A parliamentary source revealed on Wednesday the rejection of the reform bloc to nominate the former Speaker of the Council Salim al-Jubouri to the Ministry of Defense, while noting that he is seeking to obtain the ministry, taking advantage of regional support for him.
"Salim al-Jubouri was supposed to get the Ministry of Higher Education according to a prior agreement with the leaders of some political blocs, but the agreements between the construction and reform overthrew him outside the nominations for the ministry," the source said in an interview with Mawazin News.
He added that "after that asked al-Jubouri to run for the Ministry of Defense, especially in the national list, which calls for the ministry as an electoral benefit," noting that "Jubouri is trying to exploit regional support for him from the Gulf countries to run and get the ministry."
He pointed out that "the leaders of the reform blocs, including others rejected the nomination of Jubouri defense and considered him to be a loser in the elections and has no right to a ministry in the cabin Adel Abdul Mahdi."
The House of Representatives rejected last Monday, Istizar national candidate Faisal al-Jarba to the Ministry of Defense, and demanded the Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi to provide the alternative candidate.
