The Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi said on Tuesday that the next meeting of the Iraqi Council of Representatives will see the granting of confidence on the remaining ministers vacant in the government he heads.
"The next Thursday's session will witness the vote on completing the names of the candidates of the remaining ministries," Abdul Mahdi said at his weekly press conference.
He pointed out that "if he was authorized by the political blocs to submit new names to fill the remaining ministries, he will do so," returned his government, which is headed "less partisan than its predecessors."
"The problems of Iraq are large and can not be solved by days and weeks," he said, adding that "we will not be subject to any pressure that hinders services to citizens."
"We decided to give Nadia Murad (the Kurdish Nobel laureate Yazidi) and her husband two diplomatic passports in honor of their humanitarian role," Abdul Mahdi said.
On the contract employees, the Prime Minister said that "the Council of Ministers is working to solve the problem of contract employees," pointing out that "the new draft of the contract employees include the guarantee of retirement and career and financial rights."
