Take A Break, Stay Away and Pray
Hello Fellow OOM posters and Dinarians,
I'm not a guru, have no intel to share and am hopeful like the rest of you... The reason for this post is to give you some hope of another sort... I feel most people are truly frustrated with the disappointments of the recent weeks and days... It's OK to be disappointed but don't let it be your focus...
I would like to ask you to consider how much sweeter the prize will be when you get your notice of wealth of currency when you are totally surprised by an email, a phone text or phone call... Consider this ... staying glued to various sites for the latest intel HAS NOT provided anyone substantive information... What happens is this... many get totally discouraged, get frustrated, and posts very negative and even mean spirited postings...
Accusations are leveled against Okie and all of the others who provide intel... These accusations are very much misguided... Folks consider where the information "may" be coming from... the Middle East, where things change on an hourly basis and people are paid off EVERY DAY... Some of these folks do not thnk like westerners, and ethics can be very suspect when it comes to truthful information... Plus some of those giving us information are themselves very dependent on getting information from secondary and tertiary sources... Information gets filtered a number of times before it gets to us and is filtered by human beings who often see and feel differently than most of us (westerners).
My suggestion for all of us is to "TAKE A BREAK, STAY AWAY FOR A WHILE AND PRAY TO OUR LORD AND SAVIOR." While this may not be popular to say and I will undoubtedly be criticized, I firmly believe that we need to calm down, and pray. The Lord knows best what our needs are... HE will decide when, and how we hear of our wealth.
Take a break, stay away for a while and pray. It does your mind a whole bunch of good to do your daily activities without being glued to your PC...
Peace and Grace to ALL

I took off 6-7 weks in July thru Labor Day.
I say off, limit 10 minutes per day. Nothing changed except the reason on why.
Maybe it is time to do it again.

Hi 1alaskan,
Yes, 10 minutes a day is quite a small amount... but maybe 10 minutes per week would be a new goal, LOL
A friend of mine told me this was just like a soap opera.... you can leave it alone for days, weeks or even months and nothing much changes, other than a few new players (wanna be intel providers, new gurus, and bashers)...
My take on all of this is that if I get wealthy, that's a miracle, since wealth has not been my focus for my time on earth... If I become wealthy, that's a plus for my family, but I don't count on it and when I die in the future, I'll go out the same way I came into the world.... naked and highly favored....
Thanks

Re: Take A Break, Stay Away and Pray
Bravo, DrRod! That is excellent advice. It's so easy to get caught up in the minute-to-minute intel and rumors. And seriously, whether we're glued to the computer or not, the RV will come in God's good time. Thanks so much for your voice of reason ... I've been telling myself to take a break ... I think it's time to just check the site occasionally. I do enjoy a lot of the posters' perspectives on things, so I'm not quite willing to give up an occasional great laugh.

Re: Take A Break, Stay Away and Pray
In reality we don't need to come on the dinar sites at all. I have bought IQD from two different sources, member of two different forums, all will email me when the RV happens.
The rest is all drama and comedy.

I guess that's what makes it so compelling. Like that TV show you know you should turn off because there are chores to do, but you keep watching it anyway.

Now,
if they made a big screen laptop with remote control, just to switch from site to site, like I do on the TV,
I'd be close to heaven

1alaskan, with your kind of money and being from the "BIG" state, I'm sure you could easily get a HUGE laptop, LOL.
I have seen some huge laptops in the stores recently and yes, you can watch both the TV and use it as a computer....
One day, when all of this is over with, I'd love to go to Alaska again and spend some time seeing your state. I was there 4 years ago and fell in love with your beautiful state, the people and everything else...

A word of encouragent! A time to fast and pray?
My suggestion for all of us is to "TAKE A BREAK, STAY AWAY FOR A WHILE AND PRAY TO OUR LORD AND SAVIOR." While this may not be popular to say and I will undoubtedly be criticized, I firmly believe that we need to calm down, and pray. The Lord knows best what our needs are... Dr. Rod, Peace, Love, and Blessings to you, In our Lord Jesus Christ! ...and to all the bothers and sisters In our Lord Jesus Christ,
Thank you for posting today! It was a confirmation in my spirit to do just what you shared to do! The Holy Spirit brought to my remembrance once again today ...the place spiritually I was at in February and March of this year! I took a sabbatical from my crazy work environment that turned into a 40 day fast, and over a month away from job. It was a time to get quiet and listen to what God had to say to me! The Holy Spirit had asked me to do this quite some time before! I'm not a man of financial wealth ...a matter of fact I'm in debt up to my ears, financial bondage, like many people out there today ...so taking a sabbatical from work didn't make since to me! The Lord kept leading me during this time to write down my debts, my concerns, the things that have been conflicting me! He needed me to see what was/is truly important! "The desires of my heart" So that I may know, and experience His Heart and direction for my life!
I share this for many reasons. Most importantly to be an encouragement for us to remember to "seek Him first!" God asks us to do that! "Seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, then all these things shall be added unto you" On my sabbatical in February, I was not seeking God for understanding about the Iraq Dinar, I was seeking Him for direction in my life ...what He is calling meme to do! There aren't enough words I could write down that would do justice to the amazing and miraculous wonders of God that unfolded in front of my eyes!
At this point in my life I couldn't have told you one thing about the Iraqi Dinar currency as an investment. I had no idea that it even existed! ...and sometimes I wonder if it does!
Many of you understand the sentiment that I express here! ...It's not meant to be a discouragement! So how did I end up here? I simply sent an email to a friend that I've known over 40 years to share with her my belief that God was calling me to go to seminary! She herself had sought God for changes in her life many years ago, and had been investing in her knowledge of the financial world ...traveling all over the country meeting big financial people, as well as educating herself in this sector of business. I would venture to guess she's spent well over $150,000 on her education. It probably goes without saying that I trust this woman ...I know her heart! I share with you her story so you may understand her response to my email about God calling me to go to seminary. Her response, was that she knew in her spirit to share with me about the IQD, it's potential for a very high financial return! She knew my financial situation, and said she had always believed that this was my passion and desire! The IQD was from the beginning referred to as a "blessing!" It's should be obvious that I'm invested in the IQD or I wouldn't be on this site.
Somewhere between March and the present, I have become very distracted, getting lost in the ups and downs with this investment. The word "blessing" has dropped from my vocabulary, and I have been somewhat distracted from my first love, knowing Jesus, and Our Heavenly Father more intimately! I have learned, and continue to do so, the condition of my heart ...some good, some not so good! What I've found most important ...where and whom do I place my trust. It's a good question to always ask ourselves! I have also learned about Iraq, and this place in our world where history has been unfolding since the beginning! Seven months ago I couldn't have shared with you much about Iraq, with the exceptions that we have fought two wars, had brought down a ruthless dictator, and there was a lot of oil there!
Yet there was one thing that I had experienced, and that was taking our troops to Iraq during the last war! I remember the tears in my eyes, and the heaviness in my heart as I looked at the men and women on the plane that day ...I knew some of them wouldn't be coming back alive, and that broke my heart!
I can start to see now God's finger in the sands of my life! I'm not sure how this will all turn out in the end! But I do know that we have a Sovereign God who is working something out in our midst, and it is only The Great "I AM" who will reveal to us his plan!
My apologies for writing such a lengthy response to your post, however I am thankful for your call to pray! God asked me to walk away from this somewhat crazy up and down roller coaster and refocus my attention to Him, and to pray. Those things that draw me close to Him, that I may know His heart! If any of you care to join me in a "sabbatical, a 40 day fast from the "dinarian" world, I know that God will honor our time with Him! Now the hard part! Closing the browser!
God give us the heart, mind, and strength to let this be, let this be always in your hands, and keep our focus on you!
With Blessings and Peace to you,
Michael

I'm am fortunate to be able to live any where as long as they have a International airport.
We choose Alaska for many reasons, But the big thing is the beauty, I so many of us forget to thank GOD everyday for the chance to live with it all.
Come on up.

Well,
Make it summer as after RV my wife has informed me that when the snow flies, so does she. She is from South Texas and loved the winter up here for about 15 years, now, not so much.

Re: Take A Break, Stay Away and Pray
It is like the heat in the south, You work with it, not against it.
I grew up where in the summer over 100* was normal, (Fresno). so you get out early get it done and go back to the air conditioning.
Here, you dress for it, my wife has three fur coats. Most cars have remote start, so they are warm when you get in, 2 of our cars the seat also heats up, that is nice. You don't dillydally outside when the temp gets down and the wind picks up.
I often joke that on most days I could live here naked, Start car from bed, run outside, 3 seconds, drive to office in heated car, run in office, 3 more seconds, order lunch in, and repeat to get home. Total time outside 12 seconds per day.
The big problem is the ice, it gets very slippery and falling is no fun. The darkness does get to some people also.
And remember Hawaii is only 6.5 hours from here.
Oh, and no taxes to speak of, we got oil natural gas and lots of it. But cost of living is high due to shipping everything up here. But not as much as So-Cal I don't think.
